Девис, Натан
(Davis, 1812—1882) — английский проповедник, путешественник и археолог; долгое время издавал "Hebrew-Christian Magazine". С 1856 г. занимался исследованиями в области древ. Карфагена. Написал: "Tunis, or selections from a journal kept during a residence in that regency" (1841); "A voice from North and South Africa" (1844); "Evenings in my tent, or wanderings in Balat Ejjareed" (1864); "Arabic reading lessons, with the elements of Arabic grammar" (1854); "Carthage and her remains" (1861); "Ruined cities within Numidian and Carthaginian territories" (1862).
