(George-William Сох) — английский пастор-писатель, родился в 1827 г., в 1861 г. назначен профессором в Cheltenham College. Из его сочинений по истории и мифологии известны: "Poems, legendary and historical" (1850); "Tales of the Gods and heroes" (1882); "Tales of ancient Greece" (1877), "Latin and Teutonic christendom" (1870); "History of Greece"; "The Athenian empire" и др. Кроме того, К. издавал вместе с Брауне "Dictionary of science, ar t and literature" (1865—67 и 1875).
