Ýëëåíáîðî, Ýäóàðä (þðèñò)

(Edward Law, baron Ellenborough; 1750—1818) — àíãëèéñêèé þðèñò, àäâîêàò è ïîëèòè÷åñêèé äåÿòåëü. Âûñòóïàë âî ìíîãèõ ãðîìêèõ ïðîöåññàõ êîíöà XVIII â.; çàùèùàë Âàððåíà Ãàñòèíãñà â ïàëàòå ëîðäîâ. Ñíà÷àëà Ý. áûë ñòîðîííèêîì âèãîâ, íî, íàïóãàííûé ôðàíöóçñêîé ðåâîëþöèåé, ïåðåøåë íà ñòîðîíó òîðè.  1801 ã., âî âðåìÿ ìèíèñòåðñòâà Àääèíãòîíà, îí áûë íàçíà÷åí ãåíåðàë-àòòîðíååì è èçáðàí â ïàëàòó îáùèí, ãäå ïîääåðæèâàë ðåàêöèîííóþ ïîëèòèêó ìèíèñòåðñòâà.  1802 ã. áûë íàçíà÷åí ãëàâíûì ñóäüåé è, ñ òèòóëîì áàðîíà, ïåðåøåë â ïàëàòó ëîðäîâ.
